Towing without being overcharged
Before any towing abroad, call the OAMTC Schutzbrief emergency line +43 1 25 120 00 or use the app; calling first is also needed for cost coverage. Be wary of tow trucks that appear right after a motorway breakdown and offer help before you have called (reported mainly in Croatia, also Serbia and Slovenia). If a helper claims to work with OAMTC but you have not contacted the emergency service, be sceptical.

- 请勿签署您不理解或无法阅读的声明。如双方对事故经过达成一致，可共同填写事故报告。
- 请尽快通知您的保险公司或救援服务，并保留所有单据和收据。
